Today I am feeling under the weather.....Isn't it so hard to be a super mom while feeling less than great?
I have a sink full of morning and lunch dishes, laundry that I have no energy to fold and a headache that feels like a freight train hit me.
Yet, the show must go on! I kept our schedule as close to normal as possible as far as school goes and everything else has kind of been shall we say more lax!
Lucky for me I called in my recruits! Thats right, stop feeling as though you as a mom need to do it all yourself. Your kids can help. Teach them young! Chores, not only help with responsibility and good work ethic but allow your child to gain confidence through a job well done. (Mind you different ages carry different responsibilities.)
Today when I feel like I am spending more time with my head over the toilet than anything else. Yes mamas, I'm being as real as it gets!!! My 10 year old is more than capable of loading the dishwasher, and my 12 year old can absolutely cook some mac and cheese for lunch. They both can fold and put away their own clothes, toys and whatever else they use during the day.
Don't be afraid to lessen the load and ask the kids to chip in. They are far more capable than we give them credit for!
So for now, I am off to lay on my couch, drink some tea and be spoiled by my daughter who decided to heat me up some Campbells soup! (I feel like I must have done something right throughout the years, that she feels inclined to help take care of me.) Mom for the win!
I am without a doubt one blessed mama, even on my weakest days♡
