Good morning friends,
So can't believe that yesterday was day 4 of our extended vacation....yes we stayed linger than we originally planned. But how could we leave all of this? With that being said, noy much schooling has been happening. Which of course is one of the many perks of homeschool. You can easily create your own schedule.
However, yesterday we snuck a little schooling in without the girls even noticing. I know you're probably thinking how....well, our morning started at sunrise, where we road along the shoreline learning about the wild horses of Corolla, NC as we watched them in their natural habitat.
Followed by going to Alligator river wildlife refuge. Home to many alligators and one of the largest black bear concentrations on the east coast. We talked about black bear, gators, blackwater, turtles, yes even about the bear droppings we saw full of berries lol. Y'all should know I get real by now.🤣
After that we went to a place we were just reading about last week in our Notgrass- America the beautiful curriculum.
Notgrass was teaching about some of the first colonies in America and the first English Child, Virginia Dare.
So we learned that in 1587 A group of about 120 men, women and children arrived to the New world. Shortly after, colonist Eleanor Dare, daughter of GovernorJohn White, gave birth to Virginia Dare. She was the first English child born in North America.
It was great how we could make memories while fitting in some fun teachings about certain animals, habitats, history, geography and tides. Without opening a single book! I'd call that a homeschool win for the day!
I am so grateful and blessed to be able to homeschool. To share these beautiful days with my children making memories and imprints on their little minds. What an honor and privilege it is to be a part of.
I thank the Lord for all he has given me and my family!
Have a blessed day y'all...cheers!☕
