Little miss Go getter

Good morning y'all!

Do any of you mamas or even dads out there try to make sure your children participate in some sort of club, sport, instrument lesson or something during the year?

I do! I try to make sure they are in at least one thing. Something to socialize, learn teamwork and other life skills. (Sometimes, it's just nice to have a break for me too lol if the activity is close to a coffee shop, all the better!)

That goes to say, there have been times I was spread waaaaaay to thin. Both kids in cheer, both in 4H, both in scouts, one in ballet and one in basketball 🏀 .What was I thinking??? Do you ever do that? Think that as super mom you can somehow keep a schedule like that going long term. Between eating supper on the go, forgetting its your week to provide snack, one has a game while the other has practice. I wonder how my mom did it?

So this year we are keeping it more simple. One thing at a time, even better if they choose the same thing lol (though not required obviosuly)With that being said we had an info night last night for a new club they are both interested in. (Yay, for both wanting the same thing🙌)

When the club mentioned they were looking for a head volunteer, my girls looked right at me. Giving me those puppy eyes, you know the ones I'm talking about right? The, "you know you want to help mom, pleeeeeease!" eyes..I think they are used to seeing me as a bit of a go-getter, so I immediately volunteered, maybe their puppy eyes helped a little too🤷‍♀️. So here I am on day ONE, info night already diving in. Its just who I am I guess!

How many of you just love to dive in and be a part of the activities your kids like? 🙋‍♀️Be it a coach, leader, volunteer, whatever? It's fun right?

Im pretty excited to see what my new endeavor and the girls new adventure have instore for us. I hope it goes well and that the girls really enjoy it while making lots of new friends. Say an extra little prayer for us, as It's always a little nerve racking starting something totally new. Even when you're excited about it.

I think I'm in for a lot of coffee with a group of a bunch of 10 and 12 year old girls! Wish me luck y'all ☕
