Hey y'all!
Yesterday was such a great homeschool day! We homeschool moms know how great a feeling that is. I've heard stories of crying and tantrums and just flat out refusal to work. And though we have yet to face any of those things. Today was a day that both girls were just feeling it, you could see it all over their faces and their go get 'em attitudes.
Everything has an easy flow and they were excited about what they were learning.
With all that being said, have you as a homeschool parent ever found that you're learning just as much as your children?
Whether it's the fact that I graduated, a holy moly 18 years ago. Oh my goodness that makes me feel old!... Or maybe their were tiny gaps in my education, who knows... but I am honestly enjoying learning just as much as them!
The intricate details of history I never knew before, or how satellites work in space. Learning more Spanish than ever before as I teach them something all new to me.
Homeschooling no doubt is an adventure! One that I am so glad we decided to take. Smiles, laughter, adventures, learning, quality time. What more can a mom ask for, for her children and for herself?
Do any of my fellow homeschool moms ever feel like they are gaining just as much if not more than their children?
Homeschool is learning throughout the day, not just out of a workbook. At the store, money becomes math problems, road trips lead to geography and maps. But in the thick of it all, I am learning so much more than just history and science. I'm learning patience, understanding, creativity and to embrace every second I can teaching my children.
What a blessing this incredible journey is and how lucky we are to be taking it♡
